I served as the design lead for YouTube Music, a standalone mobile app intended to formalize the way users experienced music via YouTube. The product and design teams worked closely with an external agency, Work & Co., to iterate on concepts that we shaped into the final experience. My contributions included hands-on, day-to-day design iteration and creative/product direction.
I was the design lead on a product intended as a simple collaboration hub for the Google Apps suite. It was designed, developed, and tested internally but ultimately was not chosen as a launch candidate.
At Zynga, I initially worked on the product-wide social component that eventually became zyngagames.com. Following that, I led design for Zynga With Friends, the studio that emerged from the acquisition of Newtoy.
I joined YouTube in 2007, not long after it was acquired by Google. As a UI designer, I touched almost every aspect of the product, including the global navigation, browse, search, and the YouTube player.
In 2006, I joined LinkedIn as an early member of the design team, when it consisted of myself, another designer, and two web developers. I worked on a range of product features during my time there, including the introduction of one-to-one messaging, a nascent version of "who's viewed your profile," and other features that are a mainstay of the product today.
