What I do

I've been designing web experiences for over seven years. I'm passionate about and committed to building elegant, functional user interfaces. In addition to my admitted obsession with user-centered design, I have a soft spot for illustration. I happily toil as a solo professional but I like to think I'm at my best when working within collaborative, highly-motivated teams, both large and small. I enjoy learning from my peers.

What (else) I do

As mentioned above, I'm also a freelance editorial/commercial illustrator, though I no longer display my work here. My clients have included: BusinessWeek, Newsweek, The New York Times, Volkswagen, and Penguin. Samples of my illustration work are here. If you're interested in engaging me for an illustration project, please contact my representative, Jennifer Vaughn.

When I have time

I paint, draw, make prints, and show my work occasionally.
