YouTube
Visual designer for core YouTube product: home, browse, search, and watch (individual video consumption) pages; led 2008 re-design of the iconic YouTube player.
Visual/UI designer for a variety of products, among them: inbox, corporate solutions, and profile.
Android/Google
I worked on the android.com landing page as a 20% project while at Google. Intended largely as a marketing destination to promote the various Android mobile OS releases, the chief requirement was that it be flexible and agnostic enough in its look and feel to accommodate a variety of products, yet maintain a strong brand presence.
Kiva
I was engaged by the Kiva team to design their API/developer site. They were interested in an offshoot of their brand that would evoke a similar emotional response but stand alone as a separate web entity. I was tasked with producing finished visual design mocks and a visual vocabulary (via a style guide) that they could use going forward, in addition to identity treatments for the new product.
The Bold Italic
I'm amongst a pool of freelancers that make up the design staff at The Bold Italic, a hyper-local media site focused on citywide culture via first-person narratives launched by Gannett in late 2009. The visual design is a cross between illustration and editorial story design in that they are assigned on a per-story basis. I also designed posters and printed ephemera for various TBI events.
